Murs Alert M538BS Base Station Transceiver

The MURS Alert Base Station Transceiver will receive an alert signal from the MURS Alert MAT infrared sensors, as well as the MURSMPT Metal detection probe sensor. It will then alert you with a voice message, as well as displaying an alert icon for visual confirmation that an alert has been received. The MURS Base Station is also capable two-way communications from other Base Station and Handheld Murs Transceivers. The base station has a built in normally open (N. O.) relay contact that will close while an alert signal is being received, giving you the option of adding a wide range of accessories to enhance or expand your driveway annunciating system. The MURS Alert Base Station Transceiver has 5 channels and 38 sub channels to help you communicate with other users. It is powered by a plug-in 12V transformer (included), and is also capable of communicating over a distance of several miles. VHF external antennas may be added to increase the distance of the signal.

Authorized by the FCC, MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) is a license free service that allows the user to transmit voice and data. MURS also allows a maximum of 2 watts of output power. This means greater range than other license free radio services.
